Well we all have to start somewhere. Pity I had to start with a not so great picture from my phone, at least practice makes perfect (hopefully). Here we have some sliced minute steak cooked in a little teriyaki sauce, with pan-fried baby corn and a little nori, on rice. In the top tier of my little blue box we have (from left to right) baby carrots, from my tiny garden, roasted in a little honey and sesame seeds, dried mango strips and green grapes.
Simple Teriyaki Sauce
2T Gluten-free soy-sauce
1T mirin
1t Fresh ginger
Pinch sugar
I let the meat heat in frying pan, and once it has coloured on both sides a little added the sauce and stirred to coat evenly. Then I just let the meat cook and the sauce thicken for a few minutes before cooling and adding to the rest of the bento.
